People
Talents...
We have assembled a very talented staff at Flores. Individually each person brings to our organization a unique skill set. As a group we rely on each other to effectively analyze a given situation, thoughtfully present solutions and diligently work to implement our vision for superior customer service. Collectively we share a vision for superior service. The beneficiary of the team we have assembled at Flores is our client. Our professionals have a significant amount of experience working with reimbursement plans and compliance issues and we use these experiences to deliver the results that have made our service model the benchmark in our industry.
Education...
The development of our staff is of paramount importance to the success of our business. Our team has a broad formal educational base from which to draw upon as many of our staff have undergraduate business degrees and MBA's. The ability to use the critical thinking skills our team has acquired during their formal education coupled with the continuous training we provide daily has positioned Flores to be effective at handling any situation that may come before us. Learning and applying that knowledge in an everyday working environment helps us achieve the results clients are seeking. At Flores continuing education is engrained in our overall business philosophy. Our staff earns industry designations such as:
- GBA, Group Benefits Associate from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
- CFC, Certified in Flexible Compensation from the Flexible Compensation Institute, LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of the Executive Council on Flexible Compensation.
- FCS, Flexible Compensation Specialist from the Flexible Compensation Institute, LLC a wholly owned subsidiary of the Executive Council on Flexible Compensation.
- Certified COBRA Administrator from HRCertification.com is part of the initial training for all account manager trainees.

Community...
Making our community and those around us better is one of the goals we espouse at Flores. Our firm has been actively involved in helping our neighbors by giving our time and our talents. We encourage everyone to be involved at the local level with their favorite charity or non-profit organization.
Past community projects include:
- Flores participates in "National Denim Day." That is when companies "go casual" for a cause, inviting employees to wear their jeans to work on Denim Day in exchange for a $5 contribution to the fight against breast cancer (Women's Cancer Programs of EIF)
- Interacting in volunteer and leadership opportunities and offering financial support at the Christmas Village Toy Store. A local event with proceeds going toward grants and scholarships to at-risk neighborhood students in the local Charlotte community.
- American Cancer Society Relay for Life: Team of Flores employees raised money and walked for the cause.
Organizations we support financially and with our time:
- American Cancer Society
- NC Special Olympics
- Junior Achievement
- Alzheimer's Association
- Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte
On a larger scale we have taken a proactive approach to helping our community by investing in our green building and the green technology we utilize every day, like our recycling effort, the use of environmentally materials and our paperless claims processing. Investing in and giving back to our community is part of what makes Flores a special place to work.
